Only one radiator fan is working

Do this by lifting the hood and listening . So my question is, would it be ok to just have the one fan on the radiator ? This procedure works on most cars not just The civic Put Jesus at the center of it all God Bless. Scotty Kilmer, mechanic for the last years and counting, shows how to repair the cooling fans in your car. With no airflow through the radiator , it will soon warm up to the temperature at which the fan should cut in.

The assembly usually has only three components - fan motor, thermostatic (or thermo) switch, and relay.

I apologize for it may be hard to understand some of my words. Gonna check out your other video to trouble shoot the cooling fan. Reply 1: There is only one fan.

All aspects of the cooling system, from the fan to the thermostat to the radiator hoses, must be in good operating condition to ensure that the engine does not. Check this question Why does my motor fan not work ? You see the switch in the thermostat housing.

You can briefly check if that is the issue. Not sure which one controls the . There are two fans and both only come on when the ac is. But when the car is turned on, it just stops working.

The thermostat is actually behind the one that connects to the lower radiator hose, at the back of the engine.

On older fan circuits, the thermostatic switch connects to battery power on one side, and to the fan motor on the other. An electric cooling fan not only helps save energy by running only when the system needs to remove excess heat away from the engine, but helps shield other sensitive circuits and . Is the radiator fan suppose to run as soon as the engine is started? You are the one that loses all credibility with that.

I double checked the relays by switching them with the known working one in the starter.

The cooling fans are mounted on the radiator and work to pull air through the radiator fans to keep the engine cool, especially during idle and low. The CPU cooling fans are attached directly on top of the CPU, and works along with an aluminum heat sink fan to cool down the CPU and dispels any hot air from circulating around any circuitry boards, video cards, the motherboar and other components that work with your computer, thereby ensuring that they are cool .
