Radiator fan not working

If you have problems with the radiator fan , you need to take care of them immediately or you could cause serious damage to your car. A radiator fan is important as it helps to circulate air within the engine of your vehicle and keep the engine temperature down. This procedure works on most cars no.

Troubleshooting is the main focus of this tutorial and the solution was found.

The fan motor was working after all, the fuses and fan relay work , and the wiring was good.

Scotty Kilmer, mechanic for the last years and counting, shows how to repair the cooling fans in your car.

On applications that have variable fan spee the engine may also overheat if fan speed fails to increase when additional cooling is needed.

The fan may work but it only runs at low spee which may not be fast . Thermostatically controlled motors do not work the fan until the engine coolant rises above normal operating temperature, and then switch off when it has cooled down again. As they are the component that rotates the fan blades and creates the air flow, any issues that eventually arise . On many vehicles, there may be two fans: a main cooling . I appreciate all the support recently. I apologize for it may be hard to understand some of my words.

However the dropping resistor is kind of an odd-ball and completely overlook it in the diagram.

I am not responsible for any problems that you might incur by watching or following this video. BMW DIY Video - How to fix Engine Overheating - Duration: 7:24. This basic video will help you understand how cooling fan works and how to troubleshoot them before you spin hundreds of dollars in repairs.

Cooling Fan Problem Solved - BMW (E)318i. Replaced old cooling fans with one from autozone.

When ignition is turned on, the radiator fan kicks on and does not turn off. Several things to check if you are having this problem. I pulled another thermoswitch (radiator coolant fan switch) from the junkyard and installed that in.

If the fan runs, you probably have problems with the relay or the temperature sensor. The temp sensor is just below the thermostat in the lower thermostat housing near the power steerin. Why is the Radiator Fan Not working ?
