Working principle of motor

A motor is an electrical machine which converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. Induction Motors are the most commonly used motors in most of the applications. It is of vital importance for the industry today, and is equally important for engineers to look into the working principle of DC motor in details that has been discussed in this article.

Working principle of DC Motor mainly depends upon Fleming Left Hand rule. If the armature winding is supplied by an external DC source, current starts flowing through the armature conductors.

In case of three phase AC operation, most widely used motor is Three phase induction motor as this type of motor does not require any starting device or we can say they are self starting induction motor.

In this video working principle of DC motor is explained by using 3d computer graphics.

An elementary model is used in the video, which make demonstration qu. There are mainly three types of electric motor. All of these motors work in more or less. Help us to make future videos for you.

Unsubscribe from Prakash kumar singh? The direct current (DC) motor is one of the first machines devised to convert electrical power into mechanical power. Permanent magnet ( PM) direct current convert electrical energy into mechanical energy through the interaction of . Electrical motor in general is an electro-mechanical device that converts energy from electrical domain to mechanical domain. This energy conversion is based on the principle of production of dynamically induced emf.

It looks like as shown in the Fig. A rotating loop in magnetic field will produce an EMF according to the principle of electromagnetic induction. But in induction motor we give only one supply, so it is really interesting to know that how it . Also you can view working principle on elementary model with poles, commutators, brushes, turns and what role in working principles has mechanical force. Working Principle of DC Motor - Video gives an brief explanation in form of animation how does DC Motor works.

Click the above link to complete the free Automation Training which c. One problem, the comutator is the wrong way, the tall side should be against the armarure so the windings are pressed and soldered into, the long and narrow part on the com is where the carbon brushes rub against. Other than that the demonstration was good. ABB Ltd AC Motors are basically made by this basic principle.

Basic principles of Universal Motors.
